Marketing Secret to BOOST your Influence | #shorts

Influence has almost become a ‘dirty’ word. Why? Because a lot of the time it’s considered synonymous with coercion or sleazy manipulation tactics.

But in reality, influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone else.

It requires a full appreciation of the relationship with the other person, their perception and their priorities.

It also helps to have an understanding of basic behavioral science. As humans, we’re driven to seek pleasure and avoid pain.

A lot of marketers will use this insight when designing their advertising and positioning strategies.

So, if you’re wanting to develop your capacity to influence, try to see things from other person’s perspective and highlight the benefits of whatever you’re proposing. You’ll also have even more influence if you also demonstrate how your proposal minimizes pain.

Would you say you’re comfortable when it comes to influence? Or do you struggle with it? Love to hear your thoughts! 👇
